Blocks Solicitors are pleased to announce the appointment of Dilys Lloyd. Dilys joins as an employment lawyer on a Consultancy basis.
Dilys qualified as a solicitor in Ipswich in 1980 and spent the early part of her career doing a wide variety of contentious work. She subsequently began to specialise in employment law and for the last 12 years this has been her area of expertise as a partner in major law firm Eversheds practising first in Ipswich and most recently in Cambridge.
During her time at Eversheds, Dilys worked for clients in both the private and public sectors advising on employment issues ranging from day to day problems of performance, discipline and grievance, through contractual matters and termination settlements, to large scale restructuring projects entailing redundancies or transfer of staff and the full spread of discrimination claims.
Frances Barker, Employment Partner, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Dilys to our team. Dily’s specialism and experience in this area of law, will be a great asset to both our firm, and our clients.”
Dilys became a CEDR accredited mediator in 2007 and has now chosen to develop her practice as a mediator, helping parties in dispute to find a way of resolving conflict by agreement rather than through litigation. She is combining this with a Consultancy arrangement with Blocks and is greatly looking forward to working along side Frances Barker and Victoria Young. She is also expecting to enjoy getting to renew old acquaintances in the town, and is certainly not going to miss a daily commute to Cambridge!
