Blocks 'growing momentum' recognised

The strong reputation of Blocks Solicitors has been confirmed in the Legal 500 2006.

The firm's three core areas of commercial, litigation and private client have all been recognised with all nine of the firm's partners and a senior associate being named in their particular fields of specialism, which includes licensing.

The firm's Felixstowe office is also highlighted.

In commercial matters, the firm is named in the sections on agriculture, company and commercial, commercial property, employment, licensing, public sector work and social housing with partners Gerry Field, Andrew Fleming, Jane Walford and senior associate Frances Barker being mentioned, with employment sited "as an excellent service".

In litigation, for family and childcare work and for the first time in the sections on commercial litigation, debt recovery and property litigation, partners Ben French and Michael Sheehan are singled out with commercial litigation partner Graham Mead being described as excellent.

In private client, for personal tax and trusts, partner Kate Threlfall and her "strong team" are named.

In Felixstowe, partner Howard Wright is credited with having the only commercial practice in the town. Partner Matthew Boast is identified for his personal tax and trust work.

Senior partner Ben French said: "I am delighted that the Legal 500 has recognised Blocks growing momentum in the region's legal market."
